Poll: The “Ban Bossy” Campaign
The Lean In Community has started a new campaign called “Ban Bossy.” The purpose of this campaign is to stop the confidence gap that forms in girls as a result of being called “bossy” when they assert themselves. A quote from the website, “When a little boy asserts himself, he’s called a “leader.” Yet when a little girl does the same, she risks being branded “bossy.” Words like bossy send a message: don’t raise your hand or speak up. ” Learn more at banbossy.com. This campaign has become the focus of the Lean In community of late.
I do plan to write a blog post about this, but I would like to incorporate your thoughts, so if you guys could take a minute to take the poll below, that would help me out a lot. It will be open for a week, until Thursday March 27.
