February Wrap – Up: Favorites, Learning Moments and Announcement

I have found that its really helpful for me to look back every month to see what about it stood out in my head. What I discovered, what I loved and what I learned from and I thought I would share these things with my readers and hopefully provide discussion about the month.

February for me was a big travel month. I was all over the place and days at home were few and far between. As a result a lot of my favorites and learning points are things that make travel easier and more efficient. So let’s get right to it

Favorite Things:

  • Those beautiful and sunny 60 degree days that give you hope for spring;
  • Time with my nieces and nephew;
  • Friends and family that rearrange their schedules to get me to the airport and pick me up;
  • Meeting new friends that I would never have met without the crazy travel schedule;
  • Learning about the five love languages;
  • Airline miles and hotel points;
  • Friends that tell me the truth in love; and
  • Buy one, get two free clearance event at Saks Off 5th

Favorite Products (the pictures below are actually links to the products so that they are easier to find:

  • >Guerlain ‘Super Aqua-Eye’ Serum – this stuff is amazing.  I have been traveling a lot and that means a lot of late nights and really bad conditions for skin and this stuff is the only thing that I’ve ever found that has kept that delicate area moisturized while I’m traveling. Its expensive, but worth every penny.
  • And the final discovery this month, which has completely changed my life is theBalm Balm Jovi Palette. This has been the only color makeup that I’ve been taking with me while I travel and it has everything that I need to do a variety of looks. It includes 12 eye shadows in metallic, pearl/satin and matte finishes and a couple of dark ones that I’ve been using as liners, as well as a powder blush and highlighter that are some of the prettiest colors I’ve seen and two lip/cheek stains.  Plus, there is a guide at the bottom with some suggested looks.  I went out of the country for a week and I just took this, a foundation, a concealer and mascara and that was all.  And it was all I needed to do any look that I wanted.  I highly recommend. If you use the coupon code spring15 through March 16th, you will get an additional 15% off, which would bring this palette to $33 which is a bargain for the quality of the products and the ease of use.
  • And this last product isn’t a new discovery, but it is a must when I travel, it replaces so many brushes for my face, I use it to sheer out and help blend my foundation and concealer to make them look more like skin and just work better. I recently left it at home for a trip and I was lost without it.  I just need the beauty blender in my life.  These normally retail for $19.99 each, but now you can get three for $49.95, plus 15% off with the code Spring15 at the link below, which brings the total to  $14.12 each.  Great deal for these and you will never use a foundation or concealer brush again.

That’s it for favorites.

And now for the announcement that you’ve been waiting for…drum roll please. I will be adding two pages shortly that I think will be helpful. One will contain great current coupon codes for useful products and the other will show my favorites items and products that I have been finding, so it will be a kind of “shop my closet” page, but it will contain more than just clothe.. more like a “shop my house” page. Those will be up in the next couple of days and will be updated regularly, so be sure to check back often.

So, that’s all I have for now, thanks for reading and be sure to hit the follow button so you will be notified as new posts are added.
