Amazing Deal – CoverGirl at CVS

I love make up that gets me out of the door quickly…I have a problem with hitting the snooze button one too many time…or really 5 too many times. So much so that I would often to go work with a just washed face.  While I don’t think this is the end of the world and sometimes its a perfectly reasonable thing to do, it can sometimes come off like you don’t care, especially if it continues to happen on a regular basis. And unfortunately, sometimes looking like you don’t care about your personal appearance reads like you don’t care about your work.   Its amazing how those things that take a second to do make a huge difference in perception.

So when I come across quick multi-tasking products that I can use even in the car, I’m hooked.  CoverGirl got a lot of press for the great new makeup they have out in stores right now and I have tried a few of the items and they are amazing.  My favorites from the new releases are:

  • the TruMagic Skin Perfector, which is a two in one primer/mattifier-you can use it as a primer and then take it with you on the go instead of powder to stop oily spots and set foundation and concealer.  And its a great alternative to powder because if you use a lot of powder, girl, you’re going to look powdery;
  • the TruMagic Sunkisser, a bronzer which can be used to contour because it is matte or what I use it for is to give cheeks some color instead of blush because its quicker and easier to use on the go. Its also a cream, so you don’t have to worry about powder falling all over you when you use it;
  • the BombShell Intensity Liner, which is a great liquid eye liner that’s small and fits great in any purse or clutch and because it a felt tip, its so easy to apply; and
  • the BombShell Shine Shadow, a great cream eye shadow that’s so pigmented and has such a nice shine to it. You really can use this alone, without even eye liner or any other shadow. Also, the cream formula means that you can just use your finger to just put it on your lid and your done. Just this and a little mascara and you’re done.

Did I mention that I love quick products?  And I really need them.

I have included pictures below, shown in the order discussed, so you can easily spot these products.

Both of the TruMagic items shown above retail for around $13 and the eye products retail for $9. And so exciting, this week at CVS you can get an amazing deal.  First, all CoverGirl is on sale, buy one get one 50% off.  Plus, when you spend $30 in P&G products, you get $10 in Extra Bucks, which is like store credit at CVS.  And on top of that, this week when you scan your card at the Scanner inside CVS, you get a coupon for $5 off a $25 dollar purchase.  So with just the CVS Savings, the total for this transaction comes to $18. Be sure to do the TruMagic products in a separate transaction from the eye products to get the best deal.

On top of that, there are two printable manufacturer coupons that can be found here, one of $1 off any CoverGirl products, which you can print twice, and one for $1 off any two CoverGirl Eye products.  This makes the total after manufacturer’s coupon $15 for the four new CoverGirl items  that normally retail for around $44.  That’s a 66% savings on new products the full price. If you happen to have the newspaper from last week, there were $6 in savings on CoverGirl, which would bring the total to $12, and increase the savings to 73%.  And there are so many combinations that you can do.  So have fun!
